I was so blessed to have had a mom and dad who loved me so much that they kept pointing me toward Christ. I say pointed, not pushed. Inside the bible mom and dad gave me as I left for college were written the following truths.
The greatest gift one could ever be offered and one ever receive is the gift of faith to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sin. Every one of us was born with a sin nature that separates us from God, thanks to our first parents Adam & Eve (Romans 5:12: “Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned”). None of us are exempt, as Scripture says, “all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23), so we are all in desperate need of a Savior. Yet, in spite of our sin, God chose to step into our fallen world and provide redemption; “but God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8). “For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh” (Romans 8:3). Christ did for us what we could not and cannot do for ourselves. All He asks us to do is acknowledge and confess we are sinful (Romans 3:10, 23), believe in His Son Christ Jesus as your Savior who paid the penalty for sin (Romans 10:9-10; Acts 16:31), and receive the gift of His grace for the forgiveness of sin (Romans 10:13). “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast” (Ephesians 2:8-9). “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name” (John 1:12). Do you personally know for sure, beyond a shadow of doubt, that your sins are forgiven and you will spend eternity in heaven? Some of my favorite verses in all of the Bible tell us that we can know for sure. 1 John 5:11-13: “And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God.” We plan and prepare for so many things over our lifetime, but we must never neglect preparing for eternity. I don’t want to push; I just want to point you toward Christ. Jesus Himself said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me” (John 14:6). |
I have so many great memories growing up, and if I could boil it all down into one word, it would be family. I had a mom and a dad whose lives exemplified faith, love, and joy. Their work ethic was enviable and their empathy and concern for others was modeled every day. Growing up, I literally had a front row seat in observing love, compassion, determination, commitment, responsibility, integrity and the list goes on. Did I have perfect parents? No, but they were perfect for me. Because of that gift, it is my growing passion to do whatever I can to encourage and support not only my own family, but yours as well. We believe the family unit is vitally important.

Agriculture has been in our family’s heritage for generations. It’s not just a part of our lives; it has been our way of life. Pledging our head, heart, hands and health to a life larger than oneself continues to motivate us to serve our friends of agriculture in any capacity possible. So as we are all 'Learning to Do, Doing to Learn, Earning to Live, Living to Serve' it is our pledge to do whatever we can to help make your enterprise as successful as possible and in doing so, establish a relationship of trust and commitment with those we serve.
